WFCCC RULES FOR FISHING
- A Virginia State fishing license is not required for fishing in our pond, but it is required of all fishermen over the age of 16 for fishing in Back Creek that flows through our property.
- A Virginia State trout stamp is NOT required while fishing the lake on club property.
- The Lake is stocked 4 times yearly with large trout and fishing is allowed by members & their spouses, children, and grandchildren under the age of 18 of member's immediate family.
- The limit is 4 trout per day per person; This includes whether you put them on your stringer, someone else's stringer, or give them away. No catch and release on trout caught.
- 4 Black Crappie (8" in length) per day per person.
- Largemouth Bass fishing is closed in our lake.
- Stocked Triploid Grass Carp caught in the lake should be immediately released as they control the vegetation growth in our lake.
Scheduled Trout Stockings for 2024/2025 Season
1st Stocking: October 25, 2024 - 400 Trout stocked
2nd Stocking: April 4, 2025 - 400 Trout stocked
3rd Stocking: Friday, April 18, 2025 (Special Easter Weekend Stocking)
Easter Weekend Schedule Rain or Shine
Club members and guests only
Friday 4/18 Noon - 400 trout stocked.
The lake is closed to fishing until Saturday, 4/19, 12:30 pm.
10 am - 11 am, Saturday, 4/19, Easter Egg Hunt at the Clubhouse.
11:30 am - 12:30 pm Saturday, 4/19, Kids-Only fishing for ages 15 and under.
12:30 pm, Saturday, 4/19 - Ages 16 and over can begin fishing.
Fishing prize raffles for all anglers ages 15 and under.
The first trout landed gets the first pick of the prizes.
Prizes include 18 rod/reel combos, tackle assortments, landing nets, and more.
Remember to check in at the lake and pick up a ticket.
Shooting Ranges are closed from 9 am to 11 am, on Saturday, 4/19, during the Easter Egg Hunt.
Last year, the pond was stocked at noon, on March 29th, 2024, and included one 5-pounder over 20 inches long.
4th Stocking: May 2, 2025
All stocking is done at noon and 400 trout are stocked each time.
